Application Deadline: May 21, 2026

Whatnot is the largest live shopping platform in North America and Europe and it didn't get there by accident. Over $100M in GMV, millions of active users, and a category suite that keeps expanding because the team behind it keeps pushing. As an Account Executive on the Categories & Expansion team, you're the person responsible for finding high-potential sellers, getting them on the platform, and making sure they actually succeed once they're live. You own the full sales cycle. Prospecting, pitching, closing, onboarding, and coaching sellers through their first wins. If you're competitive, genuinely curious about how people build businesses online, and energized by a sales environment where what you do directly moves the needle, this is your role.

Must Haves

  • 3+ years in a client-facing sales role with a track record of hitting or exceeding quota
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle from cold outreach and discovery through close and onboarding
  • Confident on video and phone calls. You lead conversations, overcome objections, and communicate value clearly
  • Managed a pipeline of 50+ active prospects simultaneously using a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Sold into SMBs or individual business owners, not just enterprise or mid-market

Nice to Haves

  • Worked at a marketplace, creator economy, or live commerce company (Whatnot, Poshmark, StockX, Etsy, etc.)
  • Personally bought and sold on online marketplaces and understand the seller experience firsthand
  • Brought on and ramped 50+ new accounts or sellers in a previous role

Core Responsibilities

  • Source, prospect, and close high-potential livestream sellers, managing the full sales cycle from first touch through onboarding and early-stage growth coaching
  • Lead discovery and pitch calls over video and phone, clearly communicating Whatnot's value proposition and overcoming objections to hit monthly seller acquisition targets
  • Maintain weekly pipeline reports tracking seller acquisition, activation rates, and time-to-first-stream, and use those numbers to prioritize outreach and flag what's working back to leadership

Expectations

  • Within 30 days: Fully onboarded on Whatnot's sales process, tools, and category landscape. You've shadowed calls, understand the seller journey inside and out, and are running your first independent outreach and discovery calls
  • Within 60 days: Owning a full pipeline with consistent outreach volume, booked calls, and your first closed sellers live on the platform. You have a clear system for managing and prioritizing accounts
  • Within 90 days: Hitting or trending toward quota. Your sellers are active and growing. You're contributing insights back to the team on what's working in outreach, messaging, and onboarding, and leadership trusts you to run your book independently

Compensation & Benefits

  • $115K–$165K base + equity + commission
  • Remote-flexible with access to NYC, SF, or LA office hubs
  • Full health coverage including medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave
  • Monthly wellness, cell phone, internet, and dogfooding allowances

Whatnot is building the future of live commerce, and the sellers you bring onto the platform are the engine that makes it go. If you want a sales role where your work has direct, visible impact on a product millions of people use, we want to hear from you.
